Truncation is not a design strategy
If your plan for cramming more stuff on screen is “just truncate it!” you’re eventually gonna have a bad time.
When nobody is willing to do good UX copywriting, there’s a tendency to rely on truncating text if it doesn’t fit.
It’s a lazy solution that will always come back to bite you later.
Truncation is unpredictable
Eventually it will truncate words or phrases in ways you wouldn’t intend them to be.
